The Division II Title was won by UCO Road.

This is the first time in twenty years that the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos are getting ready for a playoff game at home.

On Sunday, during the NCAA Division II decision show, the team’s name was called for the playoffs for the first time since 2003. This will be UCO’s first home playoff game since 1998. It will be against Ouachita Baptist.

“I’m from Oklahoma, so it means a lot to me.” This season in particular, the support has been off the charts great. “I’m so excited to have everyone out again,” UCO defender Jack Puckett said.

It’s not really a secret how UCO became so successful so quickly. Adam Dorrell became head coach of the Bronchos in 2022. In just three seasons, he has taken the team from having four wins to having ten wins.

His players respect how he runs the team and have given him the loving name “CEO” because of the chain necklace he wears during games.

“Some of the old linemen were being mean to me.” They told me not to wear a chain. So I bought one and wore it to my picture day.

Then the first game came around, and I had to wear it. I did. After that, we ran. So they told her, “You have to keep wearing the chain.” “There isn’t much style there at all,” Dorrell said.

Wide receiver Terrell Davis agreed with the team that their head coach was great. “He embraces our environment that we have here, and we’re just blessed to have a head coach that’s as cool as he is,” he said.

It’s not the first time Dorrell has been successful. He has been on six Division II national title teams, one as a player, two as an assistant coach, and three as the head coach.

The Bronchos are getting ready for their first playoff game in Edmond, where they hope to continue their historic season.
