According to the hotel, Mary Eddy’s Dining Room, the best restaurant at the Fordson Hotel, will be closed for a while starting November 16.
The eating room will be changed, and the new Mary Eddy’s Italian Grill is set to open in the middle of December. The new diner will serve food with Italian influences and a new way of being friendly.
Melanie Briley, general manager of the Fordson Hotel, said, “We are excited to bring back Mary Eddy’s dining concept as a lively Italian grill that builds on the rich history of the Fordson Hotel.
This next chapter shows how dedicated we are to making sure that both locals and visitors have a warm and memorable dining experience.
Mary Eddy’s is in Oklahoma City’s West Village District and is called after Mary Eddy Jones, who was married to Fred Jones and was the Hall family’s grandmother.
It has been the Fordson family’s main source of food for many years. The Jones family is an important part of Oklahoma’s industrial past, and Mary Eddy’s spirit of adventure and hospitality can be seen in the restaurant.
The two other restaurants at the Fordson Hotel will stay open while Mary Eddy’s is closed. At the Bodega, guests can get fresh grab-and-go foods and specialty coffees. At the Pool Bar, they can rest with a drink.
People in the area can also get sneak peeks, updates, and more by following Mary Eddy’s story on her website, maryeddysokc.com, or on social media.
