Orlando now has a place where people can get real Hawaiian food with an Asian twist.
Rion’s Ocean Room, Sonny Nguyen’s new project and the founder of Domu, has started its soft opening phase. It will last until the middle of November.
The store is in the East End Market space that used to be Skyebird Juice Bar. It is open seven days a week from noon to six p.m. or until it is sold out.
The two-in-one idea has Rion’s Ocean Room and Gyukatsu Rose, which serves traditional Hawaiian poke by the pound and fried wagyu cutlets, which are a Japanese staple.
You can get up to 12 different kinds of fresh poke at the casual seafood station. You can get it with plantain chips, tortilla chips, or rice. The poke comes in spicy, shoyu, and Hawaiian flavors.
Nguyen is the founder of a new restaurant group he calls Small Food Group. He is known for opening popular Orlando restaurants like Domu, Tori Tori, and Edoboy in the past. [content-1] [place-name]
