In Tampa, employees working in the technology sector earned an average of $119,848, placing them in seventh place nationally. This group includes a wide range of professionals, from software engineers to product managers.
A total of more than 50,000 people in the city are employed in the technology sector. The annual salary of employees in Tampa was around $2,000 higher than that of employees in Los Angeles, and it was virtually identical to the amount that workers in New York City received ($119,865).
During this same time period, workers in the technology sector in Orlando earned an average of $106,693 in 2023, which was about $7,000 higher than workers in Miami.
The Central Florida metropolitan area stands out due to the 9.2% increase in earnings that occurred between the years 2022 and 2023.
After San Antonio, Texas, and Philadelphia, it was one of the cities in the United States with the fastest-growing incomes in the technology sector in the previous year.
