Up to 10 acts will be part of the Changelings theater group’s yearly Variety Show on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at The Apple Shed in Clarksville.
The doors open at 6. Adult tickets cost $10, while child and senior tickets cost $8. You can buy tickets at the door. Director of Changelings Mary Lang Fournier promises a fun night.
“Anyone is welcome, and there will be something for everyone to learn,” she said. “We have poets, singers, a one-man band, and a mermaid who is all by herself!” Everything from professional artists to people who love improv. She’s going to sing “I’m a Woman” and “She’s Got You.”
Grote said, “I’m adding some comedy to the show.” “That part of performing is fun for me.” “You never know what will happen!”
The show this year will be very different from the one in 2023. The theater just finished putting in new lights. Fournier said, “We’ll start the night with a light show.”
In its entertainment show, The Changelings, which is run by the Raintree Arts Council, draws inspiration from a truly amazing 91-year-old woman.
“Carol Burnett has had the most impact on us,” Fournier said.
Along with the shows, the lobby will have paintings by Louisiana artist Dieter Mueller. Raintree’s 50th Annual Art Show and Judged Competition was held last month. Mueller got “Best of Show” and “Professional Division 1st Place.”
