Santa Clara City Clerk Race Update: O’Keefe Leads, Gopi Moves Into Second Place:- Written by Robert Haugh
The election for the position of City Clerk in Santa Clara is still too close to call.
On the other hand, the race has shifted as a result of the ballot count that took place yesterday.
For the time being, Bob O’Keefe maintains his lead with 31 percent. Nevertheless, Poornima Gopi has moved up to the second spot, passing Steve Kelly in the process. Approximately 27 percent of the vote is split between the two of them.
With 15 percent, Paul Tacci is in second place.
On Friday at five o’clock in the afternoon, the Registrar of Voters will post an update on their website related to all of the municipal and county elections.
Across the entire county, there are around 233,000 ballots that have still to be counted.
