NOEL, Mo. — A person has been arrested in McDonald County for a hit-and-run accident that killed someone earlier this month.

Thursday, November 17, they charged 53-year-old Gloria Trejo of Noel with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

On November 2, the Noel Marshal’s Office was called to the area where South Kings Highway and Hall Ridge Road meet on the edge of Noel. That’s where they found the dead body of Michael Pruden.

Police found a piece of lens near the crash site, according to court papers. They said they could read the lens’s registration number, which told them the car was a 1992 Ford F-150.

Trejo told the police that she hit something in the road and that when she went back to look at what it was, she saw a person.

The probable cause statement says Trejo told police that she “left because she was scared.” A $2,000 cash-only bond is holding her.
