LAFAYETTE, LA (KSLA) – Around 11:50 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, Southern Hills Elementary School called the Shreveport police to report abuse.
Staff told officials that a 9-year-old student was in pain and having trouble sitting down. When asked what hurt them, the student said their mom hit them with an extension cord.
When the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services went to the school, they saw that the child had loop-shaped sores, bruises, and swelling on the upper leg.
Daisha Davis was caught and charged with one count of felony abuse to a child.
