The roof repair of a Metro woman was delayed after materials were stolen

A few weeks ago, hail that was as large as baseballs dropped on certain areas of the metropolitan area, causing windshields to shatter and roofs to sustain damage.

During the course of the recovery process, a woman in the metropolitan area encountered a roadblock when all of her roofing supplies were stolen from her driveway.

It was all mine that they took. Sandy Beasley, who had all of her roofing supplies taken, stated that the amount that you see here is what they got because this is a replacement for this roof.

Despite the fact that Beasley had received the new supplies two weeks ago, contractors were unable to begin working on her roof because of the severe winds.

So, the pallets remained in the driveway for the entire night.

When Beasley completed his labor, shingles, nails, and other supplies that were worth thousands of dollars were no longer available.

The very first thing that I did was glance up there to see if there was anything that was floating around on the roof. It is six of the clock in the morning, I thought to myself. Beasley stated that there would be no one present on his roof at any time.

During his fourteen years of employment, her contractor has witnessed the theft of a few goods, but he has never witnessed something as significant as this.

The weight was most likely somewhere between five and six tons. According to Bryan Cain, who works with BCC Contracting, “there is no easy task to steal.”

The alleged burglars also left behind some evidence, which caused BCC Contracting to submit a report with the criminal justice system.

Beasley stated that the individuals had left behind a meth pipe, which was broken.

In order to resume the work, her contractor went and obtained the necessary materials.

In every respect. There is a second time,” Cain stated.

Beasley expressed her gratitude that the work is now being completed, despite the fact that the timeframe has been altered.

“He is a very, really lovely guy who is willing to work, and you know, in addition to the damage to the roof, I have other sorts of damage as well. In addition to that, he is going to handle everything,” Beasley has stated.

As a means of preventing this from happening, her contractor offers some advice to anyone who may also have roofing materials outside.

According to Cain, the things that can prevent this from happening are having lights on, having signs, putting them in the garage, using a tarp, and delivering the items on the day of the event.

It is still unknown who was responsible for this.

News 4 spoke with a few other neighbors, and while they have not had an event similar to this one, they have stated that they intend to exercise caution when they get their roof repaired as well.
