A successful Dairy Queen franchisee is opening a new location in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. This will make six stores in the metro area.
Dara Dejbakhsh already owns several Dairy Queen franchises in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. He will now open a new one at 6017 W Reno Ave., which is just off of Interstate 40 going east.
Sunday through Thursday, the business will be open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to midnight.
“I’m excited to open another Dairy Queen in Oklahoma. I already own 35 of them.” Oklahoma is a great market for Dairy Queen, and the company has several other strong locations across the state. “Guests in the area are in for a treat,” Dejbakhsh said.
Over the years, Dairy Queen has built strong customer loyalty. I hope to continue to build those ties at this new location. I can’t wait to bring happiness and fun to this place and make it a place where everyone feels welcome to enjoy their favorite treats.
This is Dejbakhsh’s first new build from scratch in the state. As a restaurant owner for more than 40 years, Dejbakhsh also owns Zaxby’s, Taco John’s, Paris Baguette, and Noodle & Co.
The new Dairy Queen will offer the chain’s signature foods and treats, such as Signature Stackburgers, Chicken Strip Baskets, the famous DQ soft serve in cones, sundaes, shakes, and Blizzard Treats, among other things.
