There is an investigation being conducted by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration into the death of a stagehand who was involved in a deadly accident at Camping World Stadium last month.
The event occurred during the process of setting up for the three-day Electric Daisy Carnival that was hosted in Orlando.
Thousands of people attended the event over the course of the weekend, despite the fatal accident that occurred at the workplace. The festival itself proceeded through the weekend.
Orlando Weekly was informed by a spokeswoman for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) that the regulatory agency is conducting an investigation into the terrible event, which was initially reported to the Orlando Police Department on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 30.
Although the authorities have not disclosed or confirmed any identifying information regarding the victim, the employee who was involved in the incident has been identified as a stagehand who worked for James Thomas Productions, an events company based in California.
“During this difficult time, our thoughts continue to be with the family,” a spokeswoman for James Thomas Productions said in an email conversation with Orlando Weekly.
