Through relationships with Parents as Teachers, CMCA Early Head Start, and Options for Women, the Eastern Missouri Family YMCA announced its 6th Annual Community-Wide Diaper Drive.
This event will help local families. Donations can be sent until November 30.
Debbie Hopke, branch director of the YMCA, said, “This event is an important way for our community to come together to help families in need, especially during the holiday season.”
“Thanks to the kindness of people in our community, we have collected more than 320 necessary items for families in need over the past three years.
Many parents need diapers more than anything else, and any gift helps families who are having a hard time earning money.
Anyone who wants to help with this year’s diaper drive can bring gifts to the YMCA. We would really appreciate diapers of any size, baby wipes, diaper rash cream, and personal care things. We can make a real difference in families’ lives and make our community stronger if we work together.
Hope asked everyone to help make the holidays a little better for people who need it the most by giving back. You can call 573-594-2208 or go to the YMCA at 309 South Main, Vandalia, to find out more.
