Sitterley to Speak to Miller County Republicans

The Miller County Republican Committee (MCRC) will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday July 9, at Big Jakes on Arkansas Blvd in Texarkana, Arkansas. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and open with guest speaker Rob Sitterley, the President and CEO of AR-TX Redi. Sitterley’s presentation and the meeting are open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. Sitterley will speak first and a short recess will be held before the business meeting portion. Republican Monthly Meeting to Host Discussion on Ballot Issue

Texarkana, AR:  The Miller County Republican Committee will hold their monthly meeting September 11, 2018, at the New Haven Golf Course at 6:30 p.m.  The meeting is open to everyone and will feature a guest speaker Chad Gallagher.  Mr. Gallagher will be speaking about Issue 1 on the November Ballot and the need to defeat this issue in Arkansas. The public is encouraged to attend this important meeting to learn more about Issue 1.

Miller County Republican Committee Meeting Tonight

Miller County, AR – The Miller County Republican Committee will hold a monthly meeting this evening, Tuesday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m.   The meeting will be held at the New Haven Golf Club on 2321 Line Ferry Road, Texarkana. The Miller County Republican Committee maintains a Facebook page and during presidential election, seasons rents a headquarters in the Texarkana area.  The committee has a goal of assisting Republican candidates to obtain office.  All current Republican officer holders are encouraged to attend meetings and provide updates regarding their offices. The committee also maintains a website at Texarkana-MillerCountyGOP.com

Miller County Republican Committee November Meeting

Miller County, AR – The Miller County Republican Committee will hold a monthly meeting Tuesday November 14 at 6:30 p.m.   The meeting will be held at the New Haven Golf Club on 2321 Line Ferry Road, Texarkana. Orange County Republicans Join Others with Resolution of No Confidence

Orange, TX – Yesterday the Orange County Republican Executive Committee passed a resolution of “no confidence” in Texas House Speaker Joe Straus. “The speaker has proved by his actions that he does not whole-heartedly support the Republican platform”, said chairman David Covey. Covey Continued, “As Republicans, we demand house leadership who will actively support, pro-life, 2nd amendment, and property tax reform legislation. The speaker has not been that kind of leader.”

The executive committee passed the following resolution at their monthly meeting and will be sending a copy to their State Representative. Whereas many pieces of legislation were put forward in the 85th session that are in accord with the
Republican Party of Texas Platform; and

Whereas Speaker Joe Straus has failed to get them through the Texas House of Representatives;

Whereas in many instances the Speaker actively opposed Republican values;

Whereas we have no confidence going forward that he will adequately support the direction outlined by the platform; and

Whereas new leadership needs to be installed to effectively represent the will of the Republican Party of Texas voters and their platform. Continue Reading →

Miller County Political Parties Prepare to Open Headquarters

Miller Co, AR.  Both the Miller County Democrat and the Miller County Republican Committees are preparing to open headquarters over the next few weeks in Texarkana, Arkansas.  While the national battle will be intense, nobody really expects too much intensity for the local races. The most contested race on the ballot county-wide will likely be between Democrat William Green and Republican Roy John McNatt for County Judge.  Current Judge Larry Burgess decided not to seek another term this year. Texas County Bans The New American Magazine at Judge’s Office
