Maud ISD Robotics Team Advances to State

Maud, TX – On January 19th Maud ISD’s Twitter feed published the great news about second and third place winners in the robotics contest.  According to the tweet from the official Maud ISD Twitter Feed the school had at least two teams place. Holden, Evan, Jacob, and Robert all worked on a team that placed third in the overall competition.  Kullen and Jared’s team placed second and as a result, they will advance to the state level competition. Maud Elementary Completes Canned Food Drive

Maud, TX- As elementary students prepare for the final countdown to Christmas, the Maud Elementary students can be proud to know that they have made someone’s Christmas a little brighter this year.  Roughly four days ago the school announced the completion of the STUCO Canned Food Drive on their twitter feed.  The small East Texas school managed to donate 1,157 cans of food this year in their drive. The school reported that Mrs. Jones’ elementary class collected the most canned items with an impressive 340 cans. Maud High School Wins in Simms

 

Simms, TX – The Maud varsity football team traveled to Simms, Texas this evening to face the James Bowie High School team.   While the game got off to a slow start, Maud dominated the second and third quarters scoring thirteen points in each.  They finished up the fourth quarter with an additional seven points for a winning score of 33 to 6.  James Bowie did score six points in the fourth, but was unable to match the Maud team this evening.
