Sparrows, wrens, and other little birds are spotlighted at Orlando Wetlands

Now is the time for the “big birds” to show up at Orlando Wetlands and start getting all the bird shooters’ attention.

In no time, Facebook posts will be filled out by Northern Harriers, American Kestrels, Peregrine Falcons, Roseate Spoonbills, and Wood Storks.

But I am okay with focusing on the “little birds” for now.

Wrens and sparrows are two of these birds. They come back to the swamps in the fall to spend the winter. There are Savannah and Swamp sparrows as well as House, Marsh, and Sedge wrens.

You can see a lot of different birds when you go to the woods if you add in some smaller birds.

These “little birds” caught my eye on recent hunting trips.
