According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a lady who is 18 years old was taken into custody after she was accused of stabbing her lover to death.
Zoe Cooper, who was 18 years old at the time of the event, was identified as the suspect by deputies from Orange County. Cooper was the victim’s boyfriend at the time of the incident.
Deputies have stated that Cooper was taken into custody in Houston, Texas, and that he is currently being charged with murder in the second degree.
In August, the event took place at Cooper’s residence, which is located on Florence Vista Boulevard in the western part of Orange County.
According to the deputies, the victim, Tadarius Massey, who was 19 years old, passed away from his injuries before they could get at the site.
An argument allegedly broke out between Massey and Cooper due to the fact that Massey refused to grant Cooper access to his phone, as determined by the investigators.
In the arrest report, it was said that Massey was stabbed many times after the situation became physical.
According to the findings of the investigation, Cooper was the one who took Massey to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, but he did not exit the vehicle.
While Cooper was driving back to his house, Massey’s pals entered the hospital and took him inside.
The following day, Cooper shared a picture of the two of them on social media, along with the following caption: “… if I could take it back or trade place in a heartbeat I would #LLTD, i love you always I am truly sorry for what I did it was not supposed to be this way.”
According to the findings of the autopsy, Massey had two preexisting stab wounds that had healed around his left shoulder, as well as a new stab mark from the incident that occurred on August 14 that struck the bone.
The heart of Massey was struck by yet another stab wound.
During the course of the investigation, the detectives visited with Massey’s manager at Subway. The manager stated that Massey would arrive at work looking “beat up” and informed her about situations in which Cooper assaulted him.
In addition, the manager observed that Cooper would visit Subway and observe Massey at work without making any kind of conversation with him.
In December 2023, investigators from Orange County announced that there was another incident that took place at Ocoee High School. In this instance, Cooper assaulted Massey because he did not permit her to check in his phone.
In the messages that were discovered on both cell phones, the detectives discovered that Cooper had expressed sorrow for not killing Massey earlier and had threatened to kill him by stabbing him.
The messages that Cooper sent to Massey on March 29 included multiple instances of him saying things like, “and I am going to spit in your grave” and “I wish you would have died that day.”
In a another message, it was written, “I sincerely hope that you pass away in a very painful death, and I mean it.”
His family is inconsolable for him.
Gail Paschall-Brown of WESH 2 engaged in conversation with the mother of the victim, who was unable to speak on camera due to her emotional state.
She stated that Massey was her only kid, and that the family is still in the process of comprehending the tragedy and grieving over it.
