A lot of people waved American flags along Poyntz Avenue on Monday morning to remember those who have served.
The annual Veterans Day Parade was led by an honor band. Boy Scout Troop 74 and the Fort Riley cavalry unit came next.
The event, which was put on by the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition, had more than 1,000 people and 62 groups.
