Investigators who went to an Orlando apartment building to look into strange noises said they found a man hiding in the attic of a storage unit.
The trouble started when a maintenance worker at the complex called 911 to say that they heard strange sounds coming from the top of a storage room.
When the police arrived, they used a camera on a pole to look into the attic. At first, they did not see anyone, but they heard shuffling and saw insulation that had been moved.
When cops kept telling people in the attic to come down but got no response, they used two irritants. Soon after, a man’s foot broke through the roof, making a big hole.
You can hear an officer say, “Come down, show me your hands!” on body camera video. Soon after, the man did what he was told and climbed down the attic ladder.
Carlos Oguis, 24, was recognized as the suspect who did not have any shoes on. He was arrested and charged with burglary, trespassing in a building, and criminal mischief.
