The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says a man from Sanford died in a terrible motorcycle crash in Lake County on Saturday evening.
At 5:03 PM on November 9, 2024, at the corner of State Road 44 and Bottany Woods Drive, the accident took place.
The 57-year-old rider was going south on his 2020 Harley Davidson FXLRS when he ran into trouble on a curve in the road.
His motorbike went off the right side of State Road 44 and hit a mailbox made of concrete. He was thrown off the bike by the force of the crash.
He was taken by ambulance to AdventHealth DeLand Hospital, but it was sad to say that he was already dead.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the FHP. The man’s family has been told that he has died.
The FHP is still looking into this terrible accident to find out what exactly caused it to kill so many people.
