A ribbon-cutting celebration will be held at the Jaycee grandstand at 320 S. Third on Friday, November 15, at 1 p.m. to mark the end of the bridge replacement project on Missouri Route 79 over Bear Creek, the Norfolk Southern Railroad, and Warren Barrett Drive.
The public is invited.
The work to rebuild the Hannibal Viaduct bridge began at the beginning of this year. The new bridge also has a shared use way for people on foot and bikes that meets ADA standards.
The project was built by KCI Construction Company of St. Louis, and it was planned by HNTB Corporation of St. Louis.
