This week, it looks like a lot of high school football players switched schools from the teams they had promised to play for.
Over the last few years, this trend has been getting stronger, but this week there were a lot of them. A lot of Oklahoma Sooners fans began to believe that it would happen to their team.
In 2024, the Sooners were a terrible team, especially on offense. However, they haven’t really had any trouble attracting.
But no one is safe during “flip season.” Player flips happen all the time at Alabama, Texas, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, and other schools.
Fans of the Sooners thought that some of the top offensive line commits might change their minds because of how bad the offense, especially the offensive line, had been.
Fans thought Michael Fasusi would be the first to change his mind, and he told everyone he was still committed. The next player was Ryan Fodje, a four-star offensive tackle. This week, he did the same thing.
A fan posted that he was afraid guys like Fodje would quit and go somewhere else. Fodje went out of his way to quote the tweet and add a salute emoji to show that he is here to stay.
These are likely the two biggest commitments for next year’s class, so seeing that is nothing but great news.
