People in the Bay Area went to a variety of neighborhood watch parties on Tuesday night to see who would be the next President of the United States.
People at Republican watch parties were feeling good, but people at Democratic parties were not as hopeful.
The person who voted for Vice President Kamala Harris, Jessica Reid, said, “I feel terrible, terrible.” “This is the worst.” Dobbs. Jan. 6. It seems like nothing was important. Like we don’t matter. “My kids don’t matter.”
She went to Manny’s in San Francisco for a pro-Harris watch party.
On the way to sleep, Andie Leandro from Walnut Creek felt defeated. When she woke up, she said she was “depressed, sad, and anxious.”
“The next four years don’t sound fun to me,” Leandro said. “He’s already said he’s going to be a dictator from the beginning.”
For his part, 18-year-old Kadin True, who worked as an intern for the Contra Costa County Republican Party, was glad that Trump won a second term.
“I believe that Donald Trump will drive us forward for a better economy for all Americans,” he added. “That makes me happy.” Your gas and tax bills will go down. How much money I have is all I care about.
“Jesus is my savior, Trump is my president” priest Raymond Yee in Hercules said he was happy.
“Finally, the man – President Trump – is finally being reelected,” said Yee. “This is the second time at this county level we’ve come out with a great result, so I’m so excited.”
Yee said he thinks the US will now have better policies in both its own country and other countries.
“This world will be a little bit better off,” he said. Before the election, people polled said that two of the most important things to them were the economy and keeping democracy safe.
Associated Press race calls showed that Trump won 277 electoral votes after winning Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina, all of which were very important swing states. To become president, you only need 270 votes.
Harris had 224 electoral votes by Wednesday morning, but the results in Michigan, Nevada, and Arizona, which are split states, were still to come in.
