Del City man killed at his auto body shop is honored by the Oklahoma City lowrider community.

Lowrider fans in Oklahoma City got together on Sunday to remember and celebrate a man they called a “giant” in the community.

Tony Ganther was found dead at his auto body shop in Del City. To remember him, car fans went on a cruise. People in his neighborhood said that when he died, they lost an important person.

People who owned some of the cars told KOCO 5 that Ganther helped out in the neighborhood by doing things like painting and installing hydraulics.

He was found shot to death at his shop on November 9. Del City police are looking into his death.

Family, friends, and lowrider fans who came out to remember Ganther on Sunday have been going through a hard time.

“He was friendly and everyone liked him.” The sister of Ganther King said, “I’m going to do what I can for you. This is big, this is large, this is very large.”

Val Gonzalez of the Rollerz Only International Car Club said, “Tony has been an important part of the community since he was a child.”

“We all thought of Tony as a brother. He was a wonderful guy. He never argued in a mean way and never said anything bad about anyone. Based on what Skylar Didier of Twisted Concepts said, “He would come out in the middle of the snowstorm to help you.”

Police in Del City said they still haven’t caught anyone in connection with Ganther’s death.

The family of Ganther said that anyone who knows anything about his death should call the Del City Police Department. This would help them find peace.
