An Oklahoma City police officer is being looked into for what he did when he met a 71-year-old driver at the scene of an accident on October 27. Police say that the officer hit the driver, hurting him very badly.

The cop gave the man, Lich Vu, a ticket at first for causing a minor accident, but things got worse, and Vu was handcuffed and passed out. After more than a week, Oklahoma City police shared footage from body cameras on Friday.

The cop, who has not been named, was called to the NW 39th Expressway for a crash. Both drivers got tickets, but Vu thought he shouldn’t have to get one.

It looks like there is a language problem when they meet Vu, who is Vietnamese. After that, the police officer tells Lich that he will go to jail if he doesn’t sign the ticket.

Soon after, the police officer talks to Lich again about what he is said to have done wrong. A woman who was with Lich said that the other car was at fault. At that time, Lich seems to give the officer a light hit to the chest and tell them to “shut up.”

The police officer then grabs Lich and throws him to the ground. According to the cops, Lich had “serious injuries.”

The cop wrote in a report, “I felt Lich touching me to let me know that things were going to get worse.” He then said, “I put Lich in handcuffs and watched as Lich didn’t react and looked like he was asleep.” Lich later woke up and was taken to a nearby hospital to get medical care for his injuries.

The officer has been put on administrative leave, and the Oklahoma City Police Department said it would soon give the District Attorney’s Office the results of its probe.
