An individual from Audrain County is charged with firing shots near an apartment building in Vandalia.
According to the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office, officers were called to the apartment complex just before 9 p.m. last night because shots had been fired in the area.
When they got to the scene, they saw empty gun casings on the ground outside the apartment building.
Deputies were able to find Dakota Reed, 33, who lives at the complex, thanks to people who saw what happened. Reed looked a lot like the person who was said to have fired the gun.
Guns, drugs, and drug paraphernalia were found in his room during a search. Reed is being held in the Audrain County Jail until he is officially charged.
