A Midwest City man was arrested after a car involved in a hit-and-run was shot at.

A man from Midwest City is being charged with a crime after he admitted in court papers that he shot at a car that hit his parked car and then tried to leave the scene of the crime.

The event took place on November 6 in the parking lot of a booze store on Douglas Boulevard. News 4 talked to the store’s manager, who decided to give us more information as long as we didn’t use his name or the name of the business.

The manager said, “We had customers come in and buy a few things. As they were leaving, someone hit their car in the parking lot.”

The shop manager says he heard the crash and saw Karon Willis and someone else run out of the store. Listen to the security video he gave us.

It only shows one gunshot, but he says there were several before it. A woman can also be heard asking someone “why they would do that” and telling them to get the cameras and call the cops.

The boss said that Willis was the shooter. The boss said, “He went to the trunk of his car, pulled out a gun, and started shooting up Douglas Boulevard.”

According to court papers, Willis admits that he shot at the car that he says hit his own. A driver and a passenger were in that car, which is said to have left the scene of the crime.

In a report, a sergeant from Midwest City Police said that the driver and passenger of that car were not hurt, but their car had a bullet hole in it.

The manager’s first thought was, “I need to call the police.” “Also making sure I don’t have any customers in the area that I need to care about.”

The manager said he was ready in case Willis tried to get back into the store with the gun, but he didn’t.

According to court records, Willis called 911 to report a hit-and-run and told police what happened. The police say that Willis told them about the hit-and-run and that he had fired at the second car as it driven away.

Willis was caught and taken to the Oklahoma County Jail after being booked into the Midwest City Police Department jail.

The jail told News 4 that he made bond, but when reporters from News 4 went to his house to try to get his side of the story, no one was there.

Willis is being charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous tool.

When asked, the liquor shop manager says he wishes Willis hadn’t done what he saw. The boss told them, “Not in that case.” “Definitely not, no they did react too much.”
