A car belonging to a Houston man was reportedly targeted during a road-rage shooting on Highway 288

This is PEARLAND, Texas. After a guy reported that bullets ripped through his vehicle while he was driving on Highway 288 in Pearland, the police have opened an investigation into the matter.

Road anger, according to the man, who does not wish to be recognized, is to blame for the incident. Even though he considers himself fortunate, the only thing that has been damaged is his car and his peace of mind.

“The second bullet that was shot which broke the glass could have hit my head,” he explained to reporters.

He stated that a car pulled up behind him in the fast lane while he was heading back to Houston throughout the course of the previous week along 288.

According to him, he and the other driver attempted to transfer lanes at the same time they were driving.

“As a result, I moved back into the left lane, and they believed that I was giving them an unfair advantage. As a result, they went into the shoulder to the left of me, and the emergency lane drew up next to me and began firing,” he explained.

His window was broken in two places.

One of the mechanics who was working on his vehicle commented that it was a stroke of good fortune that the door jam was able to stop the bullet and fracture it.

In the hopes of locating the other driver, the Pearland police department has stated that they are examining license plate cameras located in the vicinity.

“Unfortunately, there are some people out there who do not have any concern for the lives of other people or the consequences of what might occur,” said Chad Rogers, who works for the Pearland police department.

As for the victim, he stated that he was able to fix his automobile, but the attack continues to be the most prominent thing in his mind.

“It is shocking to see how people can lose control of their temper and do something that could have fatal consequences,” according to the doctor.

Pearland police have stated that this would be considered a very serious felony case, and once the driver or passenger has been identified, the Brazoria County District Attorney’s office will most certainly pursue charges against those involved in the incident.
