Texarkana, AR/TX – It’s the last week to buy tickets for Main Street Texarkana’s largest fundraiser of the year, Dine on the Line, to be held the evening of Friday, October 4, 2019. Presented by Farmers Bank & Trust, this year’s event will focus around a seated and served farm-to-table dinner, unique in that diners are seated right on the state line in downtown Texarkana.

“There is always a lot of planning and preparation for an event like this,” Main Street Executive Director Ina McDowell said. “We thought for our fifth year it was time to simplify the event to a really good meal and get people out, maybe without the kids this time, for a nice date night.”

Main Street’s board of directors has been working closely with Texarkana Texas Farmer’s Market Cultural Foods Coordinator Annemarie Sullivan to source as many local ingredients as possible for this year’s dinner. Dinner tickets are $40 for individuals or $75 per couple. The main course, a pork chop, is being sourced from local farms Capers N’ Conns, Dutch Spring Farm, Lick Creek Meats, and Sullifarm.

In addition to dinner, live music will be provided by North Heights Junior High School band and Chasing Rita. As has been done the past four years, just before sunset guests will be asked to raise their glasses for a toast to our cities and their shared downtown.

Dine on the Line will coincide with the unveiling of the Dr. Pepper mural on TLC Burgers and Fries scheduled for 10:30am that day.

Tickets can be purchased online at through this Friday, September 27. Due to this year’s event being a seated dinner, all tickets are presale only. All proceeds from the event go toward Main Street Texarkana’s mission – the restoration and revitalization of downtown Texarkana.
