TEXARKANA, TX-The holiday season is in full swing and the City of Texarkana, Texas in partnership with the Texarkana Regional Arts and HumanitiesCouncil (TRAHC) would like to invite you and your family to this year’sPerot Holiday Traditions event Saturday December 22nd, at the HistoricPerot Theater.
A full day of fun filled activities are planned, including arts, crafts, refreshments, and food trucks. Starting at 10:30, the Historic Perot Theater will play host to some of the most loved and well-known Christmas movies of the past seven decades!
Film features will include:
- The Polar Express – 10:30 AM
- How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Short) – 1:00 PM
- Elf – 1:30 PM
- It’s a Wonderful Life – 7:00 PM
Tickets for the early double feature and short are only $5 as is the evening showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. For the whole flight of films, it is only $7!
“With ticket sales open all the way through the day of the event, it’s a great opportunity to come out on a whim and spend some time downtown with visiting relatives, said Brian Goesl, Executive Director of the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council. “ We encourage families to plan to stay all day and make the Perot Holiday Traditions a new family tradition.”
“If all of that wasn’t enough, there is a 100% chance of snow for the event, and Santa will be making a last-minute stop at the Perot between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM before he heads back to the North Pole for preparations before Christmas,” explained Holden Fleming, City Planner.
