Fouke, AR– On Saturday, October 7, Sidney Masonic Lodge in Fouke will be working again to raise funds for their scholarship program. The lodge will serve BBQ sandwiches, chips, a drink and a desert all for $5.00. Proceeds go directly into the scholarship fund. The fund is awarded to one or more local high school graduates.
In addition to the work and funds to help local high school graduates, the lodge also has several door prizes to award guest on Saturday. Prizes have been donated and range from items such as two Streamlight Flashlights valued at close to a hundred dollars each, an Amazon Gift Card, an Academy Gift Card, and even….for those diehard Razorback fans…a Razorback Folding Chair. The drawing for prizes will be done at 2 p.m.
Mike Bunn, the master of the lodge for 2017, stated that people do not have to be present for the drawing at 2:00 p.m. He said, “All we will have is a name and a telephone number for the drawing. If they win and are not present, we will call them and get their prize to them.”
There will be a lot of fantastic events going on this weekend, but you still need to eat! Why not take the short drive out to the beautiful city of Fouke, Arkansas, grab a meal, help local high school students, and who knows – you just might walk away with a flashlight valued at a hundred dollars!
Sidney Masonic Lodge is lodge number 455 and is chartered under the Grand Lodge of Arkansas F&AM. The organization is a 501 (c) 3. Donations to the Scholarship fund may also be made through the lodge if you are unable to attend and wish to contribute.
