Robert George, Professor of Jurisprudence at Princeton University, explains how the expanding power of the federal government corresponds with a more powerful judiciary – so much so that, in his words, most Americans “think of the Supreme Court as the ultimate arbiter of almost every social and political dispute.”

Is this a good thing? Is it what the Founders envisioned when they carefully crafted our Constitution?
